Pirate Bay is obliged to remove references to the Dutch musicDate: 25 oct 2009 г.
Dutch court ordered the torrent tracker Pirate Bay to remove references
to the works of the members of the Dutch organization Stichting Brein,
which deals with copyright protection in the field of music and cinema.
In fact, to remove protected by copyright law content managers of Pirate
Bay are given three months.
When non-compliance with the requirements of the court being sued for each link will have to pay the remainder of ? 5 thousand in the case of complete disobedience to expect a fine of ? 30 million. Recall that on April 17 founders of Pirate Bay have been recognized by a Swedish court convicted of aiding and abetting copyright infringement through file sharing. They were sentenced to a year in prison and ordered to pay 30 million kronor (2.72 million euros) in favor of the film and recording industries. Administrators do not agree with the verdict and filed an appeal, which is still pending. Recently the Court of Appeal in Stockholm reported that the appeal filed by lawyers of The Pirate Bay, can be considered no earlier than summer 2010. |
